This river offers over 300 kms to paddle...  one can canoe for 1 hour or 1 week.

Insight for First Timers on the Grand River

  • The Grand River averages about 1 meter in depth. The normal river speed is about 3km/hr.
  • If the Grand River flows faster then 60cu/m/sec at Galt or faster then 80 cu/m/sec at Brantford... we cancel our self guided trips because your safety is more important.
  • A delicious Tripper lunch can be ordered if wanted.
  • Our beginner route is called the Cayuga Run.
  • Our harder route with about 1km of Class 1 splash is called the Oneida Run. 
  • Ask about our unique canoe/kayak combination trips for 3 or more people.
