Painter's Drift
Open 7 days a week . April til November . Reservations Required
Paddle into the landscapes of the Grand River... spend 3-4 hours painting... then drift out. The drifts are guided trips using safe & stable 14 foot rafts that take little skill to paddle, just the willingness to enjoy. The total drift time to the landscapes vary from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Upon arriving at the landscape the group spends 3-4 hours painting with their selected medium with instruction upon request. Evening & day classes available with shore lunches included. Art students can enjoy learning techniques with watercolour, acrylic or oil.
The Painter’s Drift Class size is 5-10 people. The instructional artist is Jeanette Obbink. Jeanette specializes in oil and water colour work. “Jeanette's works are figurative with compositions, shapes, colours that reflect her love for nature and the environment”. Price: Our price is $160 plus tax per student based on a 6 hr guided trip, includes guide, instructor, raft, paddles, life jackets and return upstream shuttle ride.
Return Shuttle: We meet you at the starting point and shuttle you back to your vehicle at the end of the trip.
River Lunch: You can bring your own lunch or we can offer our Tripper Lunch. It includes a large fresh wrap stuffed with your choice of turkey, beef, ham, chicken, veggie or Chicken Caesar… plus homemade butter tart or large cookie, fruit and juice/pop/water. Cost is $14 each with tax included.
The Rafts: Top quality whitewater rafts made by Aire. They are self-bailing, multi chambered, stable & safe. These 5 meter rafts have floating floors that easily seat 6 people plus! They are like sitting around a big kitchen table.
The River: The Grand River averages 1 meter in depth... with sections of easy splash rapids. The river is clear with 2 meter deep pools to swim in.
Our Guides: Our guides spend the day with you... the way they would with friends. They deliberately customize the trip to help you explore & experience as much of the river as possible.
