We offer a practical learning to paddle for "first timers".
Spend a day learning to canoe or kayak the Grand River while doing a guided trip. The Grand River averages 1 meter in depth. It offers the beginner a great opportunity to paddle & navigate moving water and pools.

Prices: Include 3-4 hour river instruction paddle, boats, paddles, life jackets, return shuttle ride to your vehicle, instructional guide and our Tripper Lunch. Taxes not included.

Veggie Wrap ~ Shredded Carrot, red pepper, cucumber, mushrooms, plum tomatoes, and Chopped Romaine with sweet onion dressing.
Caesar Wrap ~ Grilled Breast of Chicken with Romaine Lettuce Real Bacon, Croutons, and Forks Homemade Caesar Dressing
Cold Meat Wraps ~ with Chopped Romaine, Plum Tomato, English Cucumber, Shredded Cheese… choice of meat …. Roast Turkey / Black Forest Ham / Roasted Beef / Tuna / Egg Salad.
Dessert ~ Brownie, large cookie, butter tart square, fresh fruit of the day or fresh veggies and dip.
Choice of drink… apple or orange juice, coke/diet coke, ginger ale, sprite, ice tea, or water.
As you paddle with us for 3-4 hours… we teach how to steer & maneuver the boat, read moving water, understand currents, safe techniques for getting in and out of your boat, what to do if you tip and what to look for when buying a canoe/kayak equipment. Our goal is to give you common-sense training, leaving you confident to go paddling without us!

But the highlight of our instructional on-river trips is the interpretative skills provided by our guides… helping to discover the river valley as you paddle through it.
