Grand River Scout Guide Trips

Open 7 days a week  .  April til November  .  Reservations Required 

 Scout groups can custom design their own learning adventures to fit their time window.

Tell us the adventure you would like and we will assist you with a smorgasbord of experiences.

Along with paddling adventures we offer barbeques and group campsites right on the Grand River.


To participate, Scouts Canada members must use the Scouts Canada Reciprocal Indemnification Agreement form …. No individual waivers are required.”


Below is an itinerary of the experiences we do with scouts over a 4-5 hour window on our floating classroom. Cost  is $35/ person... includes guides, learning adventure, rafts, paddles, pfds, coolers for lunches, taxes not included.

Scouts provide their own shuttle service at both ends of the trip... if needed we can supply return shuttles for scout drivers or entire group. Shuttle cost is $25 plus tax for up to six people per vehicle.

          Paddle through some easy fun splash along the way...  with the "Floating Classroom" there is no fear of tipping... which youth often experience when canoeing or kayaking.

The Scouts are not at risk because the guide has steering control of the raft... allowing everyone to safely enjoy a paddling experience on the river.

 

 Empty out your water bottles and try the coldness of a fresh water spring.

Learn about the flow of aquifiers in the valley and the impact of residential development on the cache basins.

We have secluded campsites right on the Grand River

Do a day trip down the Grand River and camp.

Or do a multi day trip... we can help you plan.

Group campsites between $30 to $75 per night plus tax depending on group size.

 

The Star Gazers Drift is a unique trip where groups can do a night paddle, learn the constellations of the sky and learn how to use charts to locate stars.

One of the unique things about this trip... is the ability to do the night paddle back to Grand River Rafting's secluded campsites right on the river.

There are also full moon paddles.

Full moon or stars... this is a "one of a kind" learning experience.
