Wilderness & Remote Standard First Aid Certificate (WRFA) 2 day Course

Duration: 20 hour with flexible scheduling

Instructor- Certified Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Instructor Trainer

Prerequisite- in good health and physical condition

Completition- 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min passing grade on exam

Certification- 3 year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR level C and AED

Course Content- Preparation and planning; Your health;What is a plan: Airway emergecies;breathing and circulatory emergencies;first aid and cardiac arrest;wound care;bone,muscle and joint injury,head and spine injury,environmental situations, hot and cold;poisons;evacuation and transportation;and extended care.

Group Size: minimum 10 to 24 people

Cost per Person: $200.00 per person with classroom setting 20 hrs (tax included)

                            $250.00 per person with raft and hike classroom setting, includes campsite and BBQ

 

Cancellation Policy:  

Trips cancelled 48 hours prior to departure will receive a full refund of their 25% reservation surcharge.

Trips canceling later then 48 hours will lose their 25% surcharge deducted from their credit card.

If weather looks bad we will call you that morning before you leave… that is why your cell phone number is crucial.

Trips cancelled at last minute due to rain, high water or high winds… can be rescheduled at no charge.

Grand River Rafting also reserves the right to cancel trips if they feel river volumes, wind or storm conditions are unsafe.
